I was asked to create a custom wallpaper for a nursery.
The fun part was that the client wanted to incorporate artwork from her grandmother, and her daughter's great-grandmother, who was a prolific children's book illustrator. Through this project I learned how to create tessellation patterns, allowing this design to become a seamless toile wallpaper. I printed samples, I explored different color-ways, and I printed more samples...
The client provided high-quality scans of the illustrations in the books, selected particular scenes they wanted to feature. I digitized the scanned illustrations in Photoshop, and edited them to create consistency across them as they were gathered from several books with differing color palettes and styles.
