This project allowed me to connect design to a culture and understand the foundation of packaging design. Through my research of Aruba, I discovered that the culture has a popular hot sauce called Pica di Papaya, which I used as my recipe and starting point.

Through the creation of Happy Island Sauce Co., I attempted to portray the sheer happiness of the Aruban people as demonstrated by a 5-year study done by UCF and the Aruban Tourism Board that determined Aruba to be the world's happiest island, with 78% of the people reported as happy.
